Paperboys Confronted by Robbers

FALLS TWP, Pa. - August 16, 2006 (WPVI) -- In Bucks County, the search goes on for two men who tried to rob twin brothers during their newspaper route early Tuesday morning.

John and Zack are twin brothers who do just about everything together. But they never thought they would be victims of an attempted robbery.

The 13-year-olds were walking their paper route along Alden Avenue a bit before six in the morning when they say at least three men quickly pulled up in a bronze Dodge Stratus. The boys say two of the men jumped out and started chasing them, demanding money.

By the time John and Zack reached that house, about a block away, the would-be attackers pulled off, got back in their car and sped away.

The twins were not hurt and police were quickly notified.

Local investigators say the way the boys handled themselves in a potentially dangerous situation was textbook

Neighbors here say they're just relieved the story has a happy ending.
