Andy Reid's Son Involved in Car Accident

Tuesday, January 30, 2007

One son of Eagles head coach Andy Reid was involved in a very serious crash in Plymouth Township, while another son was questioned by police about an alleged road rage incident.

The accident happened at the intersection of Germantown and Arch Road at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a black jeep liberty being driven by Reid's 23-year-old son, Garrett, apparently ran a red light and struck a red Taurus.

The impact demolished the car sending papers all over the roadway and trapping the woman driver.

She was taken to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in serious condition.

Garrett Reid was not injured and is said to be cooperating with police.

He apparently called his 21-year-old brother, Britt, to say he was in an accident.

Investigators say Britt was apparently on his way to accident scene when he got into some sort of incident along Matson Ford Road.

Police in West Conshohocken were investigating that incident, but officials are not commenting on the circumstances.
