Friday, February 23, 2007

A second teenager has been arrested in connection with attacks on Temple University students.

Police arrested the 15-years-old late Friday afternoon. Investigators said he goes to school with the 14-year-old suspect who was arrested early Friday.

The 14-year-old was charged with attacking two students. Police told Action News that the suspect has a history of trouble with the law, although family members said he was a good kid.

The 14-year-old is now facing multiple charges for at least two sexual assault and robbery cases involving female students in North Philadelphia. The attacks happened within a few blocks of Temple's main campus.

The 15-year-old was charged as an accomplice in one of those attacks.

Police are still investigating a third incident involving a knifepoint assault and robbery of a Temple student in the 1700 block of Diamond Street. That happened February 7th.
