Wild Wakeup: Car Slams into Home

A crash startled a family from their sleep in Burlington County.

A car veered into their home on Robin Road in Moorestown, just after 2:30 Saturday morning.

The front door was knocked off, and there is other damage to the home.

The homeowner says he was asleep upstairs with his wife.. and their two young children, one only a year old, were also sleeping.

He tells Action News that he first thought the loud sound was thunder.

He went downstairs, saw what happened, and ran upstairs to make sure everyone was okay.

His family was not hurt.

The driver of the car was injured, but will recover.

Police continue to investigate the wreck.

The family will likely have to live elsewhere until repairs are made.

The homeowner says his mother lives down the street.
