Renters Complain of Bed Bugs in S. Jersey

Monday, August 13, 2007

It seems that bed bugs may be biting at a South Jersey apartment community.

Tenants at the Jamestown Square apartments in Blackwood, New Jersey are complaining about an infestation of the bugs.

They tell Action News that they woke up last week to find bugs crawling all over them.

"I woke up in the morning with a bug on my pillowcase. I had bug bites all over my arms. I thought it was mosquito bites from being outside and it was actually bed bugs," said Melinda Cook.

The property manager tells Action News that one unit was infested several weeks ago.

It has since been treated by exterminators along with others units around it.

The tenants say it wasn't enough and want out of their lease.
