A long cold night is ahead for several Temple University fraternity members, but they don't mind.

Their "30-Hour Camp-Out to End Homelessness" is underway at the Bell Tower. It is something of a warm spot on campus tonight.

Alpha Tau Omega is collecting money and clothing for people who are down on their luck right now.

The frat members know they can go home to a warm dormitory or house. They are out there tonight because they also know that not everyone gets to do that each night.

The proceeds and clothing collected will go to the Philadelphia Committee to End Homelessness.

It is the second year for the charitable event. The camp out started at 7 a.m. today and will end Thursday at 1 p.m.

There's an open invitation to visit and make a donation. The Bell Tower is on Berks Mall between 12th and 13th streets on Temple University's campus.
