CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - March 20, 2008 -- A Camden mother faces charges after police say she stepped into a fight her teenage son was in and stabbed the boy's adversary.
Nancy Mejias is charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
Camden Police say her son and a 14-year-old boy were fighting on the street Wednesday evening when Mejias stabbed the boy in the back. Police found out about the incident when the stabbing victim showed up at an emergency room and explained his wound.
