Flasher strikes Villanova University

VILLANOVA, Pa. - March 31, 2008 (WPVI) -- Police say a serial flasher has struck again at Villanova University.

Kendall is a Villanova freshman and a victim of the flasher.

"I was just afraid he was going to hurt me or touch me or something like that so I just wanted to get away from him as soon as possible," Kendall said.

On Thursday night, this Villanova freshman's only concern was to get to her test on time in John Barry Hall, but on her way to the classroom, she passed a strange man.

"As I was walking up the stairs he turned the corner and was walking down the stairs and just exposed himself and just kept walking straight past," Kendall said.

Kendall, who's last name Action News is not revealing, immediately went to her professor. They called security.

Campus officials and Radnor police believe the man in the surveillance video is the one who flashed Kendall and six other women.

Investigators say in January the man, believed to be in his 40s, showed up in Tolentine Hall, Mendel Hall and John Barr and exposed himself to women inside. Then on Thursday, he showed up again at Tolentine and John Barry

Campus officials say they are beefing security in the places where the suspect was seen. Police added that the man never said anything to the women he flashed or threatened them in any way, but Kendall says he didn't have to.

"I'm pretty freaked out. I really don't want to be going out alone at night anymore ever. I used to run at night and I definitely won't do that anymore," Kendall said.

Police are asking students to be aware of their surroundings and to stay together when walking around campus.

The man is said to be in his 40s, with a medium build, and has long gray hair.
