MAPLE SHADE, N.J. - May 2, 2008 (WPVI) -- Burlington County and Maple Shade investigators have identified a body found buried behind an apartment complex as an 18-year old man missing since December.
The grim discovery of a body was made yesterday by a worker at the Maplewood apartments.
Today the Burlington County Prosecutor office said the remains were those of 18 year old Gabriel Di Nicolantonio and the cause of death was blunt force trauma. Investigators say he used to live in the complex with his mother, but she moved away and her son had no known address. Officials say Di Nicolantonio was dropped off by his father who lives in Mount Laurel to visit friends last November 23rd. He was reported missing on December 3rd.
Residents of the complelx are shocked at the discovery. Gabriel was the youngest of four children and had dropped out of the Burlington County Institute of Technology's Medford campus. Authorities say the young man's body was identified thru dental records.
