RIVERTON, N.J. - June 18, 2008 (WPVI) -- The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for people whose boat went down in the Delaware.
Coast Guard officials tell Action News they received a distress call from a boat just before 11:15 a.m. The call said the boat was taking on water near the Walt Whitman Bridge.
The Coast Guard search teams found the vessel near the Tacony Palmyra bridge, but so far have found no sign of the people who were on it.
The Philadelphia Police Marine Unit, N.J. state police, U.S. Coast Guard and several fire departments are still searching for the people who sent in the distress call.
