Feathers were flying after a screaming bird draws police in Trenton, New Jersey Thursday morning.

It all began shortly before 10:00 a.m. Someone called police, saying they heard a woman screaming for help.

When police arrived, they also heard the screams. They soon broke down the door, went inside, and started searching the house.

That's when they found Luna, a white cockatoo in a cage, screaming "help me, help me!"

Family members soon arrived to find police at their home. Officers told them what happened.

City of Trenton Public Works was called to the home to repair the front door the police had knocked down.
