Cyclist in critical after being struck by car

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - July 22, 2009 (WPVI) -- A bicyclist was struck and injured by a car overnight in South Philadelphia.

The accident happened at about 1:45 a.m. at the intersection of Broad and Reed Streets.

The driver of the car stopped nearby.

The cyclist was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital with head injuries.

He is currently listed in critical condition.
