Suspect robs wheel-chair bound victim

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Ridley Park Police are making a fresh appeal for information in the robbery of a wheelchair-bound victim right out in the open.

Enhanced surveillance video released Thursday shows the moments before the confrontation, which happens behind a truck.

It happened at the intersection of Hinkley and Sellers Avenues at 1:07 p.m. on August 25.

The thief stole the victim's iPod and then ran off.

A sketch of the suspect has been released.

Police believe he may have burglarized as many as five homes, as well.

Detectives say there were witnesses to this crime and they are asked to call police.
