Police catch bank robbery suspect

BALA CYNWYD, Pa. - October 10, 2009 (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police have caught a man suspected in several bank robberies.

Philadelphia Police nabbed Rashon Mitchell Friday night at 50th and Lancaster in West Philadelphia.

Police say Mitchell robbed the Wachovia Bank on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd around 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Police blocked the intersection of City and Belmont Avenues after the suspect was seen in the area of the North American Motel. Police captured him a short time later.

Mitchell was wanted for two prior bank robbery incidents and was suspect in several others.
