24 pounds of pot seized in Del. bust

NEWPORT, Del. - October 15, 2009 (WPVI) -- A man from New Castle, Delaware, has been arrested after, police say, they saw him pick up a box containing two dozen pounds of marijuana.

On Wednesday, investigators say they received information that a package containing the drug was to be picked up at a home in Belvedere. Several undercover officers set up surveillance at the home and watched a man pick up a cardboard box filled with the pot.

The officers stopped the car on Route 141 near Newport. The box full of marijuana was found in the trunk.

Frank Brandon, 23, was arrested and sent to prison after failing to post bail.
