EAGLEVILLE, Pa. - October 18, 2009 (WPVI) -- A Montgomery County man says he found a bag of marijuana in a diet soda can that was cleverly rigged to hold the illegal drugs.
RELATED: Photos of how the can was opened to reveal the suspected drugs.
In an Action News exclusive, John McCafferty and his daughter went to Lower Providence Police Sunday night to turn the can and the pot over to authorities.
McCafferty told Action News he gave his daughter the soda when she came to visit Sunday, but, the can would not open so he cut it and discovered the hidden compartment.
McCafferty says the can looked exactly like any other. His daughter told police that it was purchased at a local grocery store. At this point, there is no official test result to confirm that it is, in fact, a bag of marijuana, despite its appearance.
Police are investigating.
