Man's ID sought after prescription fraud

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Delaware State Police are seeking the identity of a man wanted for prescription fraud.

Police say, back on September 30th, the man in question entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy, located on Naamans Creek Road. The man presented the pharmacist with a script for Oxycontin. The pharmacist scanned the man's driver's license and began to fill the script, but it then became apparent that the prescription was fraudulent. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription and the suspect then fled the scene.

Police have released a picture of the scanned driver's license presented to investigators. The license was also fraudulent, although the picture on it was in fact the suspect.

Anyone who can identify this subject is asked to call 302-834-2630.
