Teen struck and killed by car identified

Wednesday, November 04, 2009

Delaware State Police have identified a man who was struck and killed by a car Monday evening.

Police say his name is Taj Robinson, 18, of the 200 block of Antlers Place in Bear, Delaware. Investigators say they had a difficult time identifying him because of a lack of ID or any identifying characteristics.

They finally identified Robinson when his family came to file a missing person's report.

Police say Robinson was wearing dark clothing at the time of the accident, which happened on US 40 in the area of Rickey Blvd.

Robinson was struck by a car driven by Karen Davis, 50, of Newark, according to investigators.

So far no charges have been filed. The investigation continues.
