Crash leaves 3 injured, suspects flee

Philadelphia Police are searching for two men that fled the scene of a crash overnight that left three people injured in West Philadelphia.

The crash occurred around 4:00 a.m. when the driver of a Toyota 4runner traveling west on Market Street near 46th street struck a Chevrolet Impala sending that car across a concrete barrier.

The Impala then flipped over and landed upright trapping a male driver and a female passenger. Another female passenger was thrown from the front seat.

The two males in the Toyota then got out of their vehicle and fled from the scene on foot.

Firefighters worked to free the male driver and a female occupant in the backseat who were trapped.

All three of the injured were transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

The female front seat passenger is listed in critical condition. The male driver and the other female are listed in stable condition.

Police have not yet found the two people who fled the scene on foot after causing the accident.
