Trenton firefighters battled a house fire overnight that has left four people homeless.

Fire broke out in a duplex on the 1000 block of Park Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Arriving firefighters found flames shooting from the 2-story twin home and quickly called for a second alarm.

Crews worked for over 30 minutes before getting the upper hand on the blaze.

Four people were able to escape the burning home and suffered minor injuries.

The adjoining home received smoke and water damage. Nobody was there at the time of the fire.

There is no word on what sparked the fire.

The four people who escaped are now left looking for a place to live.
