First Gary Papa leadership awards dinner

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. - November 20, 2010 (WPVI) -- It was a special tribute in Springfield, Delaware County Saturday night.

Joseph Del Raso was honored with the first Gary Papa Leadership in Philanthropy award.

The honor is named after Action News Sports Director Gary Papa, who passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer a year and a half ago.

Jim Gardner gave the keynote speech, sharing with the audience special moments he had with Gary.

Gary's wife Kathleen and son Nathaniel were also on hand for the special tribute.

Mr. Del Raso has raised funds for a number of charities and received an honorary knighthood from Italy for his relief work after last year's earthquake.
