Strong gas odor reported in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - January 25, 2011 (WPVI) -- Fire crews responded to the scene of a strong odor of gas in Northeast Philadelphia.

Residents reported smelling gas shortly after 4:00 p.m. at Chalfont Drive near Academy Road.

Police cordoned off a stretch of Chalfont Drive during the investigation.

PGW is inspecting the incident.
