Tornado warning issued for Lancaster County

LANCASTER CO., Pa. - June 12, 2011 (WPVI) -- A Tornado Warning has been issued for West Central Lancaster County until 4:00pm.

Based on Doppler Radar severe thunderstorms are capable of producing a tornado.

This means strong rotation has been detected in the storm and a tornado may be on the ground or is expected to develop shortly.

Seek shelter immediately! Go to your basement, closet or interior hallway; avoid windows and get under a sturdy object.

And a severe thunderstorm watch has been posted for most of the region including Chester County.
