Police search for Roxborough robbery suspect

ROXBOROUGH - August 30, 2011 (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 4:10 p.m. Tuesday at the Continental Bank along the 7100 block of Ridge Avenue.

Police say an unarmed man entered the bank and presented a demand note to one of the tellers.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the teller, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect remains at large. He is described as a white male, last seen wearing a red hat, tan shirt and blue jeans.
