$59.9 million Powerball ticket sold in Pa.

LUZERNE, Pa. - November 21, 2011 (WPVI) -- Someone in Pennsylvania is a lot richer today.

The winning ticket for Saturday night's Powerball drawing was sold in Exeter, Luzerne County.

It was bought at the Turkey Hill Minit Market on Wyoming Avenue.

The winning ticket had an annuity value of $59.9-million and a cash value of almost $37-million.

Saturday's winning ticket correctly matched all five white balls, 09-16-17-28-30, plus the red Powerball, 11.

The owner of the ticket is still not known.

Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Each jackpot winner has 60 days from the date he or she claims the prize to decide between receiving 30 annuity payments over 29 years or a one-time cash payment.

The Wyoming Ave. Turkey Hill has been a Pennsylvania Lottery retailer since 1998 and will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

For the Wednesday, Nov. 23 drawing, the Powerball jackpot returns to an estimated $20 million annuity and $12.6 million cash prize.

Pennsylvania has sold 14 jackpot-winning tickets since joining Powerball, including Saturday's winning ticket. The most recent jackpot ticket sold in Pennsylvania was for the Feb. 28, 2009 drawing, when a $46.6 million cash prize was awarded to a Montgomery County woman.
