OXFORD, Pa. - December 20, 2011 (WPVI) -- Authorities say a former Boy Scout leader assaulted a boy at a southeastern Pennsylvania Boy Scout camp and propositioned a second.
Twenty-seven-year-old Matthew Lewis was arraigned Monday on charges including indecent assault and endangering the welfare of children for allegedly having inappropriate contact with scouts at Camp Horseshoe in West Nottingham.
State police say the Malvern man assaulted one boy at the camp in the summer of 2006. Investigators say he also tried to have sexual contact with the same scout during another stay that winter.
Lewis allegedly tried to have indecent contact with a second scout the following summer.
Lewis has been suspended from his job as a technician at Great Valley School District.
A message left for Lewis' attorney wasn't immediately returned Tuesday.
