SPRING GARDEN - January 9, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police are searching for the thieves who stole more than a dozen packages of meatballs from the back of a truck.
It happened in the 500 block of North Columbus Boulevard in Spring Garden early Monday morning. A delivery truck driver told police that he was sleeping when the thieves broke into the trailer and stole 17 cases of frozen meatballs.
Another driver says he pulled into the lot, saw the two men stealing the rolled meat, and sprung into action. Police say the thieves fled and were last seen driving a brown Ford Windstar van.
