Police: Phone call lured man to his death

A 31-year-old father was lured to his door by a phone call overnight. It was there that he was shot and killed by a gunman waiting outside.

The shooting happened around 1:00 a.m. inside the vestibule of the victim's apartment at Windsor Estates, located on the 7000 block of N 15th Street in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.

Police say the victim was lured outside and was shot four times in the chest. He was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The victim's 11-year-old daughter was nearby when her father was shot. She however was not harmed.

So far, there is no word on the identity of the suspect or a motive for the murder. The police investigation continues.
