4th car in 6 months hits Lehigh Valley home

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

A Lehigh Valley couple is once again cleaning up after a fourth car hit their home in the last six months.

The crash happened Tuesday on Bushkill Drive in Forks Township, Northampton County.

No one was hurt, but the owners say they think it will cost about $40,000 to fix the damage.

Wade and Sonia Schenewolf want to put a boulder in front of the home to prevent it from happening again, but they say they're not allowed to do that. Sonia says Forks Township officials told her that if someone were to hit the boulder and get hurt, she could be held liable.

The Schenewolfs blame the recent crashes on a nearby detour that's sending more cars onto their street.
