Shopping for Father's Day gifts

Stuck for a Father's Day gift? If you go to your favorite mall, chances are there's a gift expert there.

If you describe your dad's likes and dislikes, they can point you to unique ideas sure to please. We took the Action Cam to King of Prussia, where they have over 100 retailers in two adjacent malls.

In the Plaza, L.L. Bean offers clothing and camping gear that covers a wide range of prices. The company was founded out of necessity a hundred years ago when a New England family was dissatisfied with their shoes on a camping trip.

Since then, everything L.L. Bean makes and sells is designed to be durable, and comes with your satisfaction guaranteed.

On our visit, they showed us some great tents and a number of campsite accessories. Believe it or not, they have a campsite chair that reclines.

The company is also famous for its clothing...all first-rate I looks and construction. They're online at L.L. Bean. We also visited BC Sports, a regional collectibles company with stores in all three states.

Kids can afford a team logo glass or mug. Not much more expensive are team-logo "boards" perfect for an autograph-seeking outing.

They also have a number of game-worn jerseys and autographed pictures, including an exclusive line of images signed by the Eagles' Brian Dawkins you won't find anywhere else.

Locally, they're at King of Prussua in the Plaza, plus at Exton Square, Montgomery Hall, and the Manoa Shopping center in Pennsylvania, Deptford and Moorestown Malls in New Jersey, and Christian Mall; in Delaware.

They're online at BC Sports .

At the Court, we went to Sur La Table, which carries everything for cooks. This time of year, they're featuring grilling, and the company just signed an exclusive agreement with television barbecue expert Tim Love.

He's known as a chef who can grill anything, and his product line ranges from inexpensive spices and sauces right on up to cookware.

The stores also carry innovative items like sphere ice molds that make a ball-shaped mass to keep a beverage colder, longer.

They offer steak "buttons"...miniature thermometers perfect for monitoring the doneness of each item on the grill. And their version of the popular grilling basket may be used as one closed item or two skillet-like halves...perfect for those items that might fall through if not contained on the cooking surface.

They have several stores throughout the region. They're online at Sur La Table .

Your favorite mall will have its own website. King of Prussia is online at where you may read about their concierge service that helps you find the perfect gift for any individual.
