Police: Man shot in head in SW Phila.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - June 13, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police are investigating of a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.

The shooting happened around 5:25 p.m. along the 8400 block of Lindbergh Boulevard.

Officials say one man was shot in the head.

While medics have arrived on the scene, the victim has yet to be transported to a hospital.

The suspect fled the scene, but was apprehended a few blocks away along the 3000 block of Island Avenue.

A gun was also recovered
