Suspect wanted in a series of robberies

Police are searching for a suspect who committed several robberies in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section.

The robberies happened on and near the 1500 block of Wadsworth Avenue.

On May 16th, the suspect attempted to rob the London Hardware store but was unsuccessful in obtaining cash and fled on foot.

On May 19th, an unknown male entered the HaHa Cleaners, also on Wadsworth armed with a handgun and demanded money from an employee. After taking an undetermined amount of cash, he fled on foot.

Just recently on June 13th, a complainant says she was walking in the area of Mount Pleasant Avenue and Williams Street when she was approached by a male. He pointed a handgun and took the victim's purse, fleeing on foot towards Wadsworth.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10"-6'2", thin build, medium complexion, short hair, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with blue/black horizontal stripes, black sneakers and dark colored pants.
