29 named in AC prostitution sting arrests

ATLANTIC CITY - June 24, 2012 (WPVI) -- The Atlantic City Police Department has charged 29 people in a prostitution sting.

The arrests were conducted on Friday night as part of the FBI's Innocence Lost National Initiative entitled "Operation Cross Country VI."

The FBI's Innocence Lost National Initiative targets individuals or groups that traffic minors for the purpose of prostitution.

"The Atlantic City Police Department is committed to hosting these types of operations and they will continue throughout the year," Lieutenant James Sarkos of the ACPD Special Investigations Section said in a statement.

The 29 arrested range in age from 19 to 51 and hail from cities including Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and Las Vegas.

The following individuals were arrested and charged with engaging in prostitution.

All were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice facility on $1,000 to $2,000 cash bail set.

10. Howard Jr., Zachary 34 of Atlantic City, New Jersey
