Small plane collides with 2 others at Brandywine Airport

WEST GOSHEN, Pa. - June 27, 2012 (WPVI) -- High winds may be partially to blame after a small plane collided with at least two other planes on Wednesday morning in West Goshen, Chester County.

Emergency crews were notified at 11:35 a.m. of the incident at Brandywine Airport.

An FAA spokesman told Action News the single engine, Grumman American Model AA1C plane was coming in for a landing on runway 27.

That's when the pilot lost control and veered off the runway, striking the parked planes.

The pilot was able to walk away from the accident with minor injuries.

The plane is registered to Howard J. Cooper of Maplewood N.J. but the FAA could not confirm whether he was the pilot.

The FAA is investigating and will determine whether this is classified as an "incident" or an "accident."
