BETHANY BEACH, Del. (AP) - July 13, 2012 (WPVI) -- Fire officials in Delaware say a blaze spread by an ocean breeze has gutted a home near Bethany Beach and damaged several others.
No one was injured in the fire, which broke out before dawn Thursday and caused major damage in the expensive Bethany Dunes oceanside development.
One home was completely destroyed and several other ones were damaged.
More than 100 firefighters from neighboring communities helped to put out the fire.
The cause of the three-alarm fire is under investigation. Officials are also investigating whether the fire is connected to a smaller outdoor fire that was extinguished in the same area Wednesday night.
