Friday, August 10, 2012

Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia Thursday morning.

The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard near Strahle Street.

Police say an 18-year-old driver crossed over from the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes.

Both the 18-year-old and the driver of the other vehicle were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Officials are investigating the cause of the crash and are checking to see if the driver who crossed into the wrong lane was texting.
