FRANKFORD - August 19, 2012 (WPVI) -- One man was seriously injured in Frankford after his vehicle crashed into an overpass for the El and a child care center.
It happened around 3:15 Sunday morning on the 4600 block of Frankford Avenue.
Authorities say the driver lost control of his SUV and the vehicle ran over several parking meters.
The car then crashed into an El overpass and slammed into the side of a child care center.
Firefighters had to free the driver from the wreckage. The victim - in his 20s - was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital in serious condition.
No word what caused the driver to lose control.
