NEWARK, Del. - August 21, 2012 (WPVI) -- New Castle County Police are asking for the public's help finding the person who spray-painted racial slurs on a sidewalk in front of several homes.
It happened late Saturday night or early Sunday morning in the 500 block of Laurel Lane in the Barrington community.
A resident called police Sunday afternoon after first noticing the offensive graffiti in front of her house.
Police are investigating the case as a possible hate crime.
Anyone with information is asked to call the New Castle County Police Department at 395-8110, or visit the department's website at www.nccpd.com.
Citizens may also provide text tips at: 847411 (TIP411) by typing 'NCCPD' followed by the message. Tipsters may also call Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
