NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - October 8, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police say a 21-year-old male driver lost control of his car and slammed into a tree in Northeast Philadelphia Monday morning.
The crash happened around 6:00 a.m. on the 7100 block of Rising Sun Avenue.
The young driver lost control of his vehicle then hit a tree and landed on the sidewalk and lawn of a house.
The street post and traffic light were knocked down in the crash.
The victim had to be rescued from the vehicle.
He suffered head injuries in the crash.
