Driver injured in car crash on Kelly Drive

FAIRMOUNT PARK - October 10, 2012 (WPVI) -- A driver was injured in a car crash along Kelly Drive in Fairmount Park early Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred around 2:15 a.m. near Boat House Row.

Police say a driver lost control of an SUV and slammed into a guard rail. The car landed on its side next to the river.

The driver was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries in serious condition.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the driver to lose control.
