SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - November 1, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a home invasion in Southwest Philadelphia early Thursday morning.
The incident happened just past midnight in the 5200 block of Cedar Avenue.
Police say a 69-year-old woman was watching TV when she heard someone breaking into her home.
She stayed inside her room and the suspect entered and ransacked the room.
The suspect then took off with a watch and pocketbook.
A shot was fired inside the home but no one was injured.
Police are investigating.
