NJ teacher charged for sex with underage student

A teacher from Ocean County, New Jersey has been charged for allegedly having a sexual relationship with an underage student.

Charges against Erin T. Haskell, 31 of Barnegat Township, were announced on Tuesday by the prosecutor's office.

She is a teacher in the Toms River Regional School District at Intermediate South in Beachwood. 

The prosecutor's office said the victim was one of Haskell's students, but declined to release additional details to protect that student's identity.

Haskell is charged with aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and exhibiting obscene material to a minor.

Bail has been set at $300,000 with no ten percent option.

If convicted, Haskell faces up to 20 years in prison.
