LAUREL, Del. - December 1, 2012 (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police arrested an attempted murder suspect wanted for stabbing a man multiple times in the face.
24-year-old Manuel Vasquez turned himself in on Friday.
Police were called around 4:00 Thursday afternoon to the Five Points Liquor Store on North Central Avenue in Laurel.
Officers found a 27-year-old man with a number of stab wounds to the face.
An investigation revealed the victim had just left the store when he was confronted by Vasquez.
A physical confrontation ensued. Vasquez allegedly stabbed the man multiple times with a knife then fled.
He later surrendered to police after seeing himself on various news outlets.
The victim was transferred to Christiana Hospital for treatment. No word on his condition.
A motive has not been released.
