WEST PHILADELPHIA - December 2, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police say two teenagers were shot while sitting on a West Philadelphia porch Sunday afternoon.
The incident took place around 4:15 p.m. on the 1400 block of North 57th Street.
Police say two teens were sitting on a porch when an armed person walked up to them and began to fire.
Police say a 17-year-old male was shot once in the thigh and once in the buttocks.
A 19-year-old male was shot once in the thigh.
Both were transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in stable condition.
The initial reports saying the two teens were involved in an argument were erroneous.
Police are investigating.
