Fire erupts at old Sears building in Camden

A fire has broken out at the old Sears building in Camden.

Firefighters were called to the location at Admiral Wilson Blvd. and Flanders Road around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

They arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the building.

As they went to work, the firefighters struck a second alarm.

The Arson Unit said there was a boat stored there, which caught fire. Parts of the building were damaged by the flames. An investigation into this fire is now underway.

No injuries were reported.
