PHILADELPHIA - December 11, 2012 (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter said New Year's Eve in Philadelphia will be bigger and better than ever.
He made that announcement during a news conference at City Hall on Tuesday.
Nutter said there will be twice as many fireworks over last year to help usher in 2013 at Penn's Landing.
There will be two shows, one at 6:00 p.m. and one a midnight.
The show is about 15 minutes long and will have an illuminated Benjamin Franklin Bridge as a backdrop if you're watching from Philadelphia, and a view of the Philly skyline if you're watching from Camden.
The festivities will run all New Year's week with parties and parades and other family friendly events.
