Man shot in the head in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - December 24, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police are searching for the gunman in a deadly shooting in Northeast Philadelphia.

The shooting happened on the 7100 block of Whitaker Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Police found the victim, believed to be in his mid to late 20s, in a parking lot between two cars.

He was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.

So far there is no word on suspects or a motive.
