Barn burns to the ground in Atlantic County

EGG HARBOR TWP., N.J. - January 1, 2013 (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a barn fire in Egg Harbor Twp., New Jersey early Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out just before midnight on Ridge Avenue near Mill Road.

Crews arrived to smoke and fire pouring from the barn.

Officials say no people or animals were hurt but it's unclear what was inside.

Investigators are treating the fire as suspicious.
