New commenting system on 6abc.com

Monday, January 14, 2013

We have a new tool for viewer interaction and comments here on 6abc.com and we hope you'll use it to share your thoughts on the news we bring you, and all of our programs.

Starting today, our viewer comments include several new, useful features:

  • Live commenting: No more need to refresh the page in order to see your comment.
  • A simpler login process
  • Ability to 'like' a comment, or to respond more directly to a particular comment
  • Comments can be organized to show you the newest, the most liked, and comments drawing the most response.
If you have commented on our site in the past, you may notice that all items posted via our old system are deleted.

Also, you will see that the user name displayed on the site consists of the user's first name, followed by five digits. The numbers appended to the user name are randomly generated via our registration system, and are not configurable by the user.

You can find our Terms of Use for our comments and our message boards here.

We hope that you'll share your thoughts by commenting on 6abc.com, and let us know what you think! And of course, Action News is always here for you on Facebook and on Twitter.
