NEWARK, Del. (AP) - January 18, 2013 (WPVI) -- Newark police say a man was hit in the head during a home invasion at an apartment.
It happened about 1:40 a.m. Thursday at the home of a University of Delaware graduate student. Officers say three men kicked in the apartment door. One of the suspects immediately hit the student on the head with a handgun.
The other two men confronted two people who were visiting the apartment and demanded cash. The three suspects fled with money and a television.
The injured student was treated at Christiana Hospital and released.
